GEISS Company was created in 1976 by Claude GEISS and the Swiss company BELSER and SCHWEGER (manufacturer of standardized items) in the form of a PRIVATE COMPANY with its head office in Annemasse.

The main business activity was the trade of standardized items (punches, ejectors, specialty pins) and different items relating to the die cutting and metal mould equipment. Business development was carried out on a national level to make the company well-known. Claude GEISS brought it his technical support.

In 1981, Claude GEISS acquired the shares of his associates.

The product line filled out by the resale of cutting tools and in facing the ever-increasing demand, led to the creation of a Cutting tools department after the hiring of Bernard BOUILLE in 1986.

For reasons of proximity with the numerous turned parts companies located the Arve valley, Claude GEISS purchased an agency in Cluses in 1992. It was operational in October; Bernard BOUILLE was the person in charge.

In October, 2004, Mr. GEISS retired, while remaining completely active in the Company. The statutes have been modified, namely in LIMITED COMPANY to Directory and Board of Trustees. Géraldine and Emmanuelle GEISS were appointed members of the Directory.

In the beginning of 2009, they decided to unit the two establishments (Annemasse and Cluses) and moved to Scionzier.

The business activity is broken down into three sectors:

- standardized items,
- finishing sector and cutting tools,
- devices and lapping machines.

GEISS Company represents several product lines on an exclusive national level The exclusive distribution at the national and international levels (North Africa) of devices and PEMAMO lapping and boring machines has allowed GEISS & Company to work in the industrial sectors, such as aeronautics, automobiles and electronics, in which certain companies are recognized at the international level.

GEISS Company decided to turn towards a market of the future: finishing. The companies TSCHUDIN and SCHUMACHER have entrusted GEISS Company with representation of their precision grinding machines throughout France.

Our customers are :

• finishing sector and cutting tools consists essentially of lathers, precision grinders at the regional level and has expanded to the national level with the precision grinding and lapping.
• standardized item consists of tool outfitters, mold makers, die cutters, precision engineers, on the national and international levels.
